Unfortunately Katee won’t be able to join this year’s LifeRide, but please make sure to support this amazing organization.
The Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR is an annual, charity motorcycle ride through major U.S. cities that includes multiple high-profile events at Kiehl’s stores along the way to raise HIV/AIDS awareness and funds to help amfAR find a cure. The 6th Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR is a 2,100-mile long journey that begins in Denver, CO on August 3 and ends in San Diego, CA on August 15.
Why Support Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR?
Nearly 37 million people are living with HIV/AIDS today.
An estimated 50,000 new HIV infections occur in the U.S. every year.
Every day, nearly 5,700 people contract HIV – that’s roughly 240 every hour.
More than 4,000 people die of AIDS-related causes every day.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, more than 40 million people have died of AIDS-related causes, including 1.2 million last year.
amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, is dedicated to ending the global AIDS epidemic through innovative research. Recently, it launched a bold research initiative to develop the scientific basis of a cure for HIV by 2020.
Hey Katee fans,
This weekend we are having a special Mother’s Day Sale. All items in the store are 20% off regular prices.
All proceeds from this sale benefit Spindle Cell Sarcoma Research in honor of Kevin Rudi.
Kevin Rudi is the brother of Longmire crew member, Nolan Rudi.
In January of 2013 my little brother Kevin Rudi was diagnosed with Spindle Cell Sarcoma. I had the honor of accompanying Kevin in his quest to find good health care. Our journey brought us to New York City, Houston, Denver and Albuquerque. We received the best medical attention available, and Kevin fought so hard to live. After multiple painful surgeries and a barrage of chemo therapies and radiation treatments, Kevin lost his battle against Spindle Cell Sarcoma on November 12th, 2014. He was only 27 years old.
A charity run was recently held to help raise money and now Katee is doing her part to make sure that more funding is raised in Kevin’s name to help fight this terrible disease.
All you have to do is purchase any item at Katee’s Web Store and all proceeds from your purchase will be donated to the Kevin Rudi Foundation.
